Master Shutdown Application
This application will be launched in the Startup group and
place the Stop Sign Icon in the System Tray.
Double-clicking on the Stop Sign icon will display the window below.
Clicking on the SHUTDOWN button will start a 10 second delay, which
allows the user to Cancel while the delay is counting down.
The button caption changes to CANCEL and the red and yellow backgrounds
alternate colors during the countdown. After
the 10 second delay, the application will begin turning off any System\Object
name in the Shutdown List. The Off
Delay and On Delay are individually set up for each System\Object (default value
is 0 seconds). The delay applies to
the listed System\Object name. In
the example below, once the shutdown begins a 2 second delay occurs before the
first listed item is turned off, then a 3 second delay occurs before the second
listed item is turned off, etc. This
application will Stop Binary Outputs or Set Binary Data points to State 0 for
the Shutdown at priority 2. The
Release will release the priority 2 command and allow the object to return to
the last commanded state.

Clicking the Print List button give you the following
display.

Clicking the Modify List button brings up the Enter
Password box.

After entering the user-defined password, the setup screen
is displayed.

If the Reverse Order for Startup checkbox is
checked, the Release starts at the bottom of the list and works up.
If it is not checked, the Release starts from the top and works down.
The Daily Integrity Test at determines when
the automatic integrity test occurs. This test verifies that all
system\object names in the shutdown list are accessible to command. If any
problems are encountered during the integrity test, the user is notified and
corrective measures must be taken.
Clicking on a System\Object name displays the Off
Delay and On Delay time in seconds for the selected System\Object.
You can change them and click the Save button.
If you do not click the Save button, the change is not saved.
Clicking the Add New button allows you to add
System\Object names to the bottom of the Shutdown List.
See screen capture below for the Add New screen.
The default Off Delay and On Delay are both zero.
The Delete button will delete the selected
System\Object name from the list.
The Move Up and Move Down button will change
the position of the selected System\Object name in the list.
The order that the System\Object names appear in the list is the order
they are shutdown.
The Release All button sends a release command to
all System\Object names in the list. The
On Delay timers apply.
The Change Password button allows you to change the
password required to log in to the Setup display.
The Done button takes you back to the Main Screen.
To add a new System\Object name to the Shutdown list, you
can double-click on the System\Object name or single click and then click
on the Add to List button. If
you click on a System name, only objects from that system are displayed
in the System\Object list. You
can narrow the list further by checking the Only Object Type checkbox.
This will only show you the object type selected in the combo box below
it. You can display all available System\Object names by clicking on the All
Systems checkbox. After adding
all the System\Object names you want, click on the Save button to save
the changes. If you click the Cancel
button, none of your additions will be saved.
Clicking the Save or the Cancel button will take you back
to the previous setup screen.
After adding the new System\Object names and saving them,
you will need to select the new system\object names to modify the Off Delay and
On Delay parameters if you want something other than zero.
After clicking on the SHUTDOWN button, the background
colors alternate red and yellow. The
button caption changes to CANCEL, and the number counts down to 0.

Once the countdown reaches 0, the Shutdown process begins
and the background colors no longer alternate.
Clicking on the Cancel button will abort the Shutdown process, but you
will need to click on Release to release any Shutdown commands that have been
issued.
After all System\Object names in the list have been
Shutdown, the following screen is displayed.
