This application takes the operator transaction reports,
from the PCFile destination in Metasys, and gives the operator a user friendly
interface to generate reports with. The
output of the report can either be a text file or an Excel worksheet. Search Tab
On the search tab, the user selects what the search criteria is by selecting the data they want to search by in the Search by frame. When the item is selected, the corresponding frame becomes enabled and the user can select from a list of all available data in that database field. The user’s search can consist of one to all Search by fields. After selecting the search criteria, click on the Get Records button or press the Alt + R keys. After retrieving the data, the Records Tab is displayed with the results of the search. New Feature - When selecting Alarm Acknowledged, Critical Report Discarded or Moved To Followup in the Text field, the program will calculate the time between the original report and when it was Acknowledged, Discarded or Moved to followup.

From the Records Tab, the user has two options for generating an output. The results can be sent to a text file by clicking on the To Notepad button or to an Excel file by clicking on the To Excel button.

Clicking on the Get Data button will load all transactions from the selected OPTRANS.DBF file. You will need to click on this button to update the database with any new transactions since the last time it was clicked. Clicking the Get Data button will show you what is currently in the OPTRANS.DBF file. The user has two options for selecting the OPTRANS.DBF file. Automatically Find Optrans files (Uses UNDDL Files) – With this option selected, the application will look at the NET.UND and GLOBAL.UND files to find all Operator Transaction files on this OWS. If the UNDDL files are not found, a message is generated to instruct the operator how to decompile the database.Manually Select Optrans file – Explained below. The second option, Manually Select Optrans File, allows the user to manually find the OPTRANS.DBF file. The path that Metasys stores this file is as follows: C:\PROJECT\CONTRACT\NETNAME\PCFILENAME PROJECT, CONTRACT, NETNAME and PCFILENAME are all variables that are unique for every network. The Get Data button will not be enabled until an OPTRANS.DBF file is located.
